Hope 4 Health
In 2019, New Hope Counseling Center was one of eighteen community-based nonprofits in the U.S. selected to receive
the BUILD Health Challenge award! This 2.5 year grant award addresses social and healthcare inequities
for the residents of the Doyle Neighborhood, with a focus on health inequities, food scarcity,
and lack of reliable transportation.
"Bold, Upstream, Integrated, Local and Data-Driven" BUILD is a national program designed to support partnerships between community-based organizations, health departments, and local hospital systems that are working to address important health issues within their respective communities.
The Kerrville community established the Hope 4 Health Collaborative (H4H) to address local root causes of
the social determinants of health in the Doyle Neighborhood, and leverage multisector local partnerships
to establish meaningful change.
The Hope 4 Health partnership now totals sixteen local organizations sharing their gifts, time, and talents
to drive sustainable improvements for community health.
The Hope 4 Health core team enacting the collaborative's efforts are housed in the Doyle Community Center.
Tasked with moving resources, attention, and action Upstream,
this team of a community outreach coordinator, navigator, community health worker, and transportation driver
can answer any questions concerning the efforts, enlist volunteers, and receive donations.
The Hope 4 Health team can be reached at (830) 257-4446.

Juneteenth Vigil
On June 19th, we come together as a community to lament the systematic racism plaguing our nation.
Our time together represents a moment of healing and the continuation of a conversation too often ignored.
